Pupil Premium
Our Pupil Premium Strategy Statement
Our strategy statement below sets out how we are using Pupil Premium funding to support our pupils.
How has Pupil Premium been spent in the past?
Sports Premium
The primary PE and sport premium was introduced in March 2013 to improve the provision of physical education and school sport in primary schools across England.
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer. This means that you should use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to:
- Develop or add to the PE and sport activities that your school already offers.
- Build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years
The government’s aim is that all pupils leave primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.
For the academic year 2023-2024 Duckmanton Primary School received a total of £16,000 plus £10 additional for each child for the Sports Premium.
